CERTIFIED RRCA RUNNING COACH
1) How long have you been involved with Team Fight?
I am just getting involved with Team Fight, it’s my FIRST year!
2) How did you get involved with Team Fight and the Ulman Cancer Fund?
A friend encouraged me to get involved, so I did!
3) What is your favorite race on the Team Fight schedule and why?
I’m excited about many races, specifically those that I’ll be coaching. It’s always so exciting to watch athletes accomplish their goals! I’d have to say the Half Full Tri is my favorite though. It was such an amazing event to participate in the first year. I’m also excited about the Mt. Hebron Trail race, since the McIntyres are helping to put it on!
4) Tell us more about you…
I have been running since I was 12. I ran in high school and 2 years in college. In my mid 20′s, I ventured into marathons and loved it! I’m originally from Spokane, WA. When I met my husband he claims he ‘imported’ me to the east coast. We’ve lived in Columbia for 7 years and on the east coast for 9. About 5 years ago, I decided to change careers and went back to school at Tai Sophia Institute. I finished with a Masters in Acupuncture in January 2011. I have my own practice and I truly love my new career. In 2010, I studied acupuncture and sports medicine, which married my love of running and my love of acupuncture. I am currently continuing my studies in Chinese Medicine. For fun, I love gardening, backpacking to new and beautiful places, spending time at our lake house in Virginia, sailing and traveling whenever I can.
5) What are you most looking forward to for Team Fight in 2012?
I am most looking forward to meeting new people and helping to support them to accomplish their goals!
