1) How long have you been involved with Team Fight?
I have been involved with Team Fight for 3 years.
2) How did you get involved with Team Fight and the Ulman Cancer Fund?
I became involved with Team Fight through the Howard County Strider’s Bagel Run. I moved to Maryland and had been running for a few years and was looking to find a group of people to train with. I started going to the Saturday morning bagel run and met Danny and Suzy Serpico, Katrina McGowan, and Mike Lombardo. They were all Team Fighters and finally convinced me to join.
3) What is your favorite race on the Team Fight schedule and why?
My favorite race on the Team Fight Schedule is the Half Full Triathlon. I like it because it is more focused on the community and the Cancer Fight than any of the other events. I also really like seeing the other side of triathlon, from the planning, set up, and execution of the event.
4) Tell us more about you…
I really enjoy traveling, experiencing new places, and meeting new people. Most of all, I love getting outside in a new place and exploring by running, biking, or hiking. I have traveled extensively and spent time all over the US, Europe, Asia, and lived for several years on the island of Okinawa. I love anything outdoors including rock climbing, snowboarding, scuba diving, surfing, in addition to swimming, biking, and running. I am always looking for a challenge and reaching past limits. I met my girlfriend through Team Fight and it has been life changing to have someone who also loves being active. Team Fight is full of awesome people who are passionate about what they do and I am privileged to be a part of it.
5) What are you most looking forward to for Team Fight in 2012?
This year I am most looking forward to meeting new people, being more involved with Team Fight, and being a part of all the exciting new partnerships and events. See you out there!
